Welcome to my blog! I am launching this blog to talk about my travels, my interests, hobbies, personal goals for the company, and impressions from around the world.
I will be traveling to 10 countries starting April 24, 2017 and I will be gone for one whole year. My destinations include Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, and Brazil. I hope you will come on this journey with me.
This is a new journey for me, and I couldn’t be more ecstatic. It’s an absolute dream to know I have a year ahead of me, a total blank slate, waiting for me to etch in my travel markings. It’s always been one of my biggest goals to travel around the world. There’s so much we don’t get to see living in just one place. It was this kind of wonder that led me to launching this expedition.
As a wanderlust individual at heart, I was sidetracked in building my company a few decades ago. Though I am passionate about my work, I had realized it is preventing me from going on the adventures I have always yearned for. I will never, at heart, part ways with my company, and I am grateful for the resources it has provided me. I’ve just decided to go on a little detour for the time being. I’m capable of multi-tasking. I don’t have all the answers yet, but I do have a plan.
While working, I didn’t take a vacation for the last 6-years. It fried my brain. Last November, my sister bought me a ticket to come visit her in Dubai, as well as a ticket to Kenya to visit the rest of my family. It was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. All the worries in my world seemed to melt away. I left my coffee shop, my brother, and my employees in charge to run the operation in my absence.
When I returned, I was a new person. I gave away the shop to my brother and sister. I was officially done. It was time to start a new chapter.
This blog is where that chapter picks up. Here is where I will share my observations, findings, and impressions from all the countries I visit. I will look at customs, music, culture, culinary experiences, and more.
One of the most important things for me in this life is the acquisition of knowledge. This is a knowledge-filled trip I can’t wait to explore.
While I am traveling, I would LOVE to hear from you and what topics interest you.
