Jackie Stabb is an Ohio born indie/pop artist. With the dissolution of her first band, Jackie found herself at a crossroads. It would take time for her to curate and hone what her new sound would be, but with a string of self-released recordings made on her cell phone, she continued to gain attention. With these cell phone recordings she found herself alongside other music heavyweights on UK tastemaker blog ’The Recommenders’ top 10 list of 2011.
In late 2013 Stabb went to Los Angeles to work with producer Vincent Jones and recorded her single ‘Night Talks’. After heading back to Ohio she continued to finish writing what would become her debut EP. Using ‘Night Talks’ to help crowd source a successful Kickstarter campaign, she returned to Los Angeles in early 2014 to record her EP. While waiting for the release of the recordings she continued to play and write. Earning a spot on the Midpoint Music Festival, she opened a sold out show for ‘Broods’, and has been packing venues on her own.
In October 2014 Jackie Stabb released her debut EP ‘Little Voice’. A synth-pop atmospheric wall of sound, emotionally driven by Stabb’s lyrics. Gathering some blog buzz, European blog ‘Cracked In The Road’ stated that ‘Little Voice’ had, “five tracks of wistful, perfectly composed elegance , from the Youth Lagoon-esque riff of Where It Belongs, to her upbeat, first single, Night Talks, Stabb finds the middle ground between St Vincent and Ellie Goulding”. ‘Night Talks’ was recently a featured song on the Amazon original tv series ‘Transparent’.
